My all-time Top 5 Favorite Podcasts for Health, Wellness, & Motivation
I’ve become a podcast buff since starting this blog. I usually listen to one every day as I’m getting ready in the morning, on my commute to work, or cooking in the evening. Podcasts spark my creativity and increase my knowledge in areas of continuous human improvement (which is the essence of why this blog exists). Say Jess Please is a platform to share my discoveries along the eternal journey to my own optimization – in mind, spirit, and body. That said, I wanted to share with you
the Top 5 Podcasts that have really got me motivated and excited over this past year. These podcasts are listed in order of rank for me along with a short description of why they’ve made my top 5 list.
1. The mindbodygreen Podcast
This podcast is my favorite. It’s hosted by the CEO of mindbodygreen, Jason Wachob. He does a tremendous job of hosting some of the most prestigious and well-known wellness professionals in the industry. I like the balance of Eastern & Western medicine he brings to the show. Jason’s reach is far in the health world, so I know that when I listen to his show it is credible (importante!). Jason also isn’t off-the-wall extreme. He responds to these interviews with questions and comments that I think I would say if I interviewed these people… like, he still eats bread and won’t take a freezing cold shower every day. Anyway, you can count on well-rounded, fresh, relevant, and credible content from mindbodygreen. They dive into almost every topic as it relates to mental, spiritual, and physical
wellness.

2. The School of Greatness
Hosted by Lewis Howes, the School of Greatness is just damn right motivational. Lewis explores a wide range of experts all with one thing in common; They’re the Best at What They Do. This podcast explores high performers all over the world and taps deeply into what it is that has made them so successful. If you’re looking for a little fiery motivation on how to discover the best version of yourself, I recommend giving this podcast a listen.
3. The Skinny Confidential
World-class blogger Lauryn Evarts teamed up with her husband Michael Bostick to create a podcast that touches on literally EVERYTHING… from building your brand & entrepreneurship, to self-love & empathy, to boob jobs. This podcast is super lighthearted and makes me laugh… I love this one in the morning on the way to work when I want to start my day on a positive note with a little giggle. Don’t be fooled, you’ll also learn a little something. Their content is geared towards opening up your mind to things you probably hadn’t thought about before and their guests are the real deal.

4. The Rich Roll Podcast
Rich Roll is a beast. He participates in some of the most intense races in the world. You want to talk about a podcaster who lives his mission… it’s this guy. I love the authentic curiosity of Rich. He inspires me to take my passions to the next level & I would venture to guess that he will do the same for you. Rich has some world class performers on his podcast. He’s how I’ve discovered some of my favorite books by true human optimization experts.
5. The Ultimate Health Podcast
Jesse Chappus & Marni Wassersman host a wildly educational podcast on all thing’s health related. They cover a WIDE spectrum of health & wellness topics like; why they don’t have a microwave, managing EMF’s, emotional agility, diet trends… you name it. Why is this “ultimate” podcast my 5th favorite? Because they cover SO much that they sometimes make me paranoid to walk out the front door. Take this content with a grain of salt because there is just no way you can incorporate ALL of their knowledge into your day to day life without living in an extreme way. However, it’s good to be informed so give it a listen!
